After three months since the last run of Ikabod,

It's time for AGHAM Theatre Company

to rock & roll once again for the rerun of the Musical Play.

I was given the lead role of the play Ikabod as you all remember

I played the role of Ping before.

The problem is, the costume (specially the head dress) doesn't look good to me because i look like a gangster so they decided to change my costume to a more colorful one.

Give me the SPOTLIGHT

It's been a year since i had my single spotlight as a theater actor

that's why i'm SUPER EXCITED to step on it again.

Do i look like Michael Jackson? COOL!!!

and this one caught my attention.

IKABOD

The musical play Ikabod is based on an ancient belief that rats are souls trapped in transition before evolving to a next life level; that of becoming humans. These rats have to arrive at a certain realization before being allowed to enter the gates of higher being.

However, hilarious as it may be, the guardians to these coveted gates are cats! And so it has been told that cats chase rats in order to ward them off from entering the gates, to adhere to the order of allowing only three rats (sorry, souls!) to enter humandom only once a year, on a full moon. Countless number of rats race to prove to the cats their worth as deserving of the cross-over.

Ikabod, a restless and discontented rat with an attitude, does everything to prove himself to the cats. The conflict and humor ensues when Daguita, Ikabod's femme fatale rat girlfriend, presents another point of view.

Contemporary as it may be, this play presents the classic ideals and values, including the choices we have to make in life. Laced with Original Pilipino Music, immersed in rock and roll arrangements, the play presents a light, almost whimsical, and hilarious treatment that will give its audience a careful check on values, existence and purpose. What else can be better than presenting this with the beautiful lyrics of familiar music to our sensibilities as rats (sorry, humans!).

A Series of Unfortunate Events

This 2004 movie is based on the best selling book of lemony snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. It is about the journey of three Baudelaires namely Violet, Klaus and Sunny as they struggle to fight for their destiny when they met their evil guardian named Count Olaf.

SAKDAL

SAKDAL, an original Filipino pop-rock musical on the life of Jesus Christ.

SAKDAL meaning perfect, is an interpretation of the life of Jesus Christ in parallel to our issues today and how his teachings being so needed to be heard now in time of political and economic crisis. Jesus as the center of Christianity is not only a symbol of faith and hope but also a proactive example of reform and movement.

Set in the last few days of Jesus Christ, Sakdal presents a more humane Jesus who is baffled about his mounting popularity among common people. And this popularity drew diverse reactions and concerns among his disciples especially in the part of Judas Iscariot who wants him to maintain a low profile. Through this depiction of Christ, we will highlight the obvious message of life, truly a rude awakening, a reflection on how we are living the life he sacrificed.

With a true to form realistic set, there is no trailblazing statement or justification for the style. It is not abstract; it is not impressionistic or stylized. What you see is what you get. The set plays its role in its true sense. A background for the actors, setting for the period and a visual foundation for the music. Nothing overwhelming. It is as Israel or as Is-real as it can get.
